I think my home reflects how passionate I am about interiors, design and making a space feel lived in and loved by displaying cherished pieces. I’m a magpie; I’m always picking up something like an antique set of scales from Nepal or an interesting lamp from Morocco, usually while on my travels with Galit! My husband and I moved into the home – we call it The Treehouse because we’re elevated and overlook greenery from every window - with our two kids ten years ago and in that time – slowly – we’ve renovated the whole place. My country style kitchen combines old world charm – I just love my butler’s sink and Aga-style oven – with modern touches including the window shelving. In the main bathroom, sea green mosaic tiles pop and the vanity’s custom built. The customised front door – I painted the panel - and entrance hallway make a style statement but the tiled entrance area and hardwood stairs are so practical too. The upstairs lounge overlooks bushland - and when I have time I love to curl up with a cuppa on the comfy window seat. My home is very ‘me’. It’s an eclectic work in progress – I’m always switching things around – but it’s my sanctuary too.
