Returns Policy
At Just in Place, we take great care in selecting quality products and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please review the information below.
We accept returns and exchanges on tapware and accessories within 30 days of delivery or pick up, provided that:
- The item is unused, uninstalled, as new.
- The item is returned in its original packaging.
Sale, clearance and discontinued items are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

Custom-made products and special-order items cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled once an order has been placed.
Special-order products include items that are manufactured to order or products that are not part of our regular stocked range and have been specifically sourced for a customer.
This policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If a custom-made or special-order product is faulty or arrives damaged we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy.
Fragile items and all special orders should be carefully inspected upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please notify us immediately and provide photographs or a short video of:
- The damaged item;
- The product packaging; and
- Any visible damage to the outer carton or wrapping.
Prompt notification allows us to work with our freight providers and suppliers to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
If you believe a product is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible with details of the issue, along with clear photographs and/or videos showing the fault.
All claims will be assessed by our team and, where required, in consultation with the manufacturer. Products must be made available for inspection if requested.
Tapware, accessories and basins:
If a product is confirmed to be faulty, we will provide a replacement or refund, as appropriate, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Custom made vanities and mirror cabinets:
If a custom made item is confirmed to be faulty, we will repair as appropriate, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Before returning any item, please contact our team for return approval. Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.
Please return approved returns to our showroom in their original packaging. Returned items that have been installed, used, damaged, or are not returned in their original packaging will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Warranties
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The warranty periods outlined below apply from the invoice delivery date and are provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Structural Warranty
Just in Place tapware and accessories are covered by a 5-year structural warranty against defects in product construction.
Aesthetic Warranty
A 2-year aesthetic warranty applies to product finishes and coatings. This warranty covers manufacturing defects affecting the coating or external appearance of the product.
Warranty Conditions
To be eligible for warranty coverage:
- The product must be installed by a licensed plumber.
- Proof of purchase must be provided.
- The warranty period commences from the invoice delivery date.
Warranty Claims
To lodge a warranty claim, please email:
- Your invoice number;
- Clear photographs of the fault; and
- A short video demonstrating the issue where applicable.
All warranty claims will be assessed by our team.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners or environmental conditions.
- Labour costs associated with removal, replacement or reinstallation.
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, incorrect installation or improper maintenance.
- General wear and tear.

Structural Warranty
All custom-made vanities and mirror cabinets manufactured by Just in Place are covered by a 5-year structural warranty.
Hardware Warranty
The following hardware warranties apply:
- Lifetime warranty on door hinges.
- Lifetime warranty on drawer runners.
- 12-month warranty on push-to-open mechanisms and springs.
Surface Finish Warranty
All surface finishes are covered by a 2-year warranty against chemical failure of the finish. This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Water damage.
- Environmental damage.
- Improper use or misuse.
- Damage caused by inadequate ventilation or moisture control.
Installation Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage:
- Installation must be completed by a licensed builder or licensed plumber or qualified joiner.
- It is the responsibility of the installer to correctly adjust all doors and drawers following installation.
- Incorrect installation practices may result in excessive strain, movement or premature wear that may affect warranty coverage.
Natural Timber Characteristics
We use premium kiln-dried timbers to minimise movement wherever possible. However, timber is a natural product and will respond to its environment over time. Natural movement and variations including:
- Expansion and contraction;
- Shrinkage;
- Minor splitting or checking;
- Cupping;
- Colour variation; and
- Natural changes to timber finishes
are inherent characteristics of timber products and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Delivery & Inspection
Please inspect your furniture upon delivery. If you have any concerns, please note these with the delivery driver at the time of delivery and also let us know as soon as possible. Note, your signature on your delivery docket confirms that you have received the goods in good condition (no damage claim will be accepted after this).
Warranty Claims

This warranty does not cover:
- Removal and reinstallation costs.
- Damage caused by incorrect installation.

- Water damage or environmental damage.
- Natural timber movement and characteristics as outlined above.
Many of the products available through Just in Place are sourced from leading Australian and international manufacturers. These products are covered by the individual manufacturer’s warranty, with warranty periods and conditions varying between brands.
Should you experience an issue with a product, please contact our team with your invoice number and details of the fault, including photographs and/or videos where applicable. We will assist in assessing the claim and work directly with the manufacturer to facilitate a resolution.
Manufacturer warranties operate in addition to the consumer guarantees provided under Australian Consumer Law.
