Why Designers Love Porcelain Kitchen Slabs?

Why Designers Love Porcelain Kitchen Slabs?

While porcelain has a history that goes back centuries – it is only in recent years that it has become an increasingly popular material for kitchen bench tops and bathroom vanity tops.

The reason for its popularity and becoming a sought-after option is due to the following reasons:

1. It is heat-, flame- and stain-resistant.
2. The ability to be manufactured in a variety of thicknesses.
3. Durability and easy maintenance.
4. Scratch resistant - so that chopping your favorite veggies can be done directly onto the surface.

In this beautiful project we have used The Opera Porcelain slab by Dekton (velvet finish) for both bench tops and back splash.
The soft light grey veining adds depth and interest to all-white kitchen cabinetry. The porcelain top is completely stain proof which makes this choice an amazing one for a young active family who likes to cook.

The bespoke Blackbutt timber table (handcrafted by our joiners ) enables the members of the family to gather for quality family time.
