Sleek and contemporary kitchen
Not only does a kitchen need to be practical, it should also be aesthetically pleasing and complement the rest of your interior scheme.
When coming to design this kitchen for our male executive client our thoughts were the following:
1. Floor plan: Open plan flow
We were following the rest of the house interior using existing colour scheme and finishes.
2. Cook and dine:
Kitchen isn't just for cooking any more but it's also an area where you can have your light meals and mingle with your guests while cooking. This kitchen island bar is a perfect idea for that.
All cabinetry where considered carefully and ample of storage solutions were applied. We have maximised the storage by installing cabinets that are built up to the ceiling line.
4. Hide away:
Hide away the kitchen items you don’t need to see and display the items you do. In this sleek kitchen we have introduced a bi-fold door system-appliances cabinet that hides all the small appliances.
5. Designated areas:
An area to display big items - In this case the bulky coffee machine.
6. Colours, materials, finishes:
We have decided on a neutral palette to “flow” with the rest of the house design.
White Polyurethane cabinetry
Sleek concrete bench top
Gun Metal elements: cabinet handles, kitchen sink and mixer tap
Subway style splash back tile in a stunning design
And to dress it all up … those beautiful pendant lights to add warmth and texture to the space.
