Welcome to Just in Place

We’re Galit and Leah, best friends from Sydney’s North Shore. We met at the school gates many years ago, became instant friends and these days we can finish one another’s sentences.

What started as a shared passion for interior design in 2017 has grown into something much bigger. Today, Just In Place is a team of  fabulous women who share our love of design and creativity, and take real satisfaction in making the renovation process feel easier, smoother and actually enjoyable for our clients.

While we each have our areas of specialty, between us we’ve got years (too many to mention!) of hands-on experience in design, building and business.

Why we started

The idea for Just In Place came about because we saw just how overwhelming renovating can be.

Bathrooms, kitchens and laundries come with an endless number of decisions, layouts, materials, finishes, fixtures, and the sheer volume of choice available can make it hard to know where to start, let alone what to choose. We wanted to offer people a better way.

What do we do differently?

We take the stress out of renovating by doing much of the hard work for you, before you even walk through our doors.

Over the years we’ve curated a range of products that offers more than enough choice to create something truly personal, while removing the choice overload that so many people find overwhelming and even paralysing! 

We also bring together all aspects of the design process; fixtures, fittings and finishes selection, and construction and project management all under one roof. This means fewer moving parts, more confidence in your decisions, and a much more streamlined and supported experience from start to finish.

Our design philosophy

We always say, a space isn’t truly beautiful unless it works.

All rooms in your home should improve the flow of your daily life, but this is especially true for bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. The importance of how these spaces actually function is huge and even more so as the intention is for our kitchens and bathrooms to last for many years. They MUST feel intuitive to use, bring a sense of ease and enjoyment to the everyday and look incredible – that’s true beauty.  

Known for our custom timber vanities

We’re very proud of how well known we’ve become for our custom solid timber vanities. There’s simply nothing that matches the beauty of natural timber (ok, maybe natural stone) its warmth, texture and character bring something to a space that manufactured materials simply can’t.

Each piece we create is designed and made to suit our clients lifestyle and the home it will live in, which is why many of our clients return to us again and again when they move or take on their next renovation.
